Andrew V. Kinder, also known online as @avkinder – is a director/producer who studied Design and Film at UCLA. His personal aspirations include making a feature film, building a community around the arts and culture, and bringing to life ambitious creative projects.
Prior to his career in the creative industry, Andrew served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate, where he worked on the nuclear propulsion systems on the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN-73). He fell in love with Japan after being stationed there, and often finds his way back from time to time. His top 3 anime are: Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist, and Naruto.
While tearing down and rebuilding particle accelerators was once a job of Andrew’s, he knew that it wouldn’t be for long. He pursued photography, leading him to social media management, and finally, to film production. Along the way he worked in the entertainment, events, and esports industries where he remains today. The first game he remembers playing is Super Mario Bros. on the NES, and he chose Charmander as his first Pokémon. He enjoys the diversity of flavor a light roasted coffee can bring, and won’t judge you if you put cream and sugar in yours.
